About this place
The City of San Diego calls La Jolla Cove one of the most photographed beaches in Southern California and says its small summer surf makes the north-facing cove ideal for swimmers, snorkelers and scuba divers, with water visibility that can sometimes exceed 30 feet. It lies within the San Diego La Jolla Underwater Park Ecological Reserve, where fishing and removal of objects are prohibited.
