About this place
The museum calls the Midway America's Living Symbol of Freedom and says it has something for all ages, with immersive exhibits and events. Its own facts list the ship as commissioned in 1945 as the largest ship in the world, 1,001 feet long, with a crew of 4,500, and its Know Before You Go page offers a Junior Pilot Program for young guests.
