About this place
Birch Aquarium is the public exploration centre for Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego, showcasing Scripps research alongside interactive exhibits and conservation breeding programmes. Perched on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean, it features more than 60 marine habitats, including a two-story Giant Kelp Forest.
